We are glad to announce that we will be hosting a seminar by Professor Colin McGuckin entitled:
“Cord Blood and Adult for biotechnology and regenerative medicine”

This will have a very limited attendance. People are welcome to apply for free registration, however, they should justify their professional interest for this meeting in order for their registration to be confirmed.

Who?

Professor Colin McGuckin, is President of the Cell Therapy Institute, Lyon, . As Professor of Regenerative Medicine, he has over 20 years experience in the field of stem cell and tissue bio-engineering and has advised the European Parliament, the Vatican, the US Senate and both public and commercial organizations. He is an international reviewer, associate editor for scientific journals and serves as an expert and reviewer to the European Commission and several international organizations. His group were the first in the world to create “Embryonic-Like” cells from a non-embryonic source – Umbilical Cord Blood, and first to create liver, pancreatic and neural cells from Cord Blood. The focus of his is to create better therapies with adult , but also to use the tissues to help create better pharmacological and drug systems for human use.

This will take place on June 21st 2010.
