SAN DIEGO, April 30th. It all started a year ago when Sanofi-aventis sponsored a French BioBeach event presenting Lyon Biopole to the San Diego biotech community. Stephane Richard had then the great pleasure to welcome Remi Brouard, MD. Vice President External Innovation Prospective, Portfolio Management & Scientific Support at Sanofi-Aventis R&D, who was relocated to San Diego.
Relying on French BioBeach powerful network, Stephane advised Remi Brouard and enabled him to connect with Mike White, Ph.D., CLP, Senior Director at the Office of Technology Management & Development at The Salk Institute for Biological Studies, leading to a strategic alliance.
The agreement signed a few weeks ago between the Salk Institute and Sanofi-Aventis establishes a joint program that supports cutting-edge research and promotes an exchange of discoveries focused on scientific advances and therapeutic applications.
